Late Shri O. P. Jindal Ji (our beloved Bauji), a true son of the soil, was born in Hisar, Haryana.  He was a legendary figure who began his industrial career with a humble bucket-manufacturing unit. Through sheer hard work and exemplary business acumen, he built a multi-billion dollar industrial empire with the motto “growth with social conscience.” He was a man of steel who could talk to machines, an engineering genius. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Indian steel industry, he was awarded the prestigious “Life-Time Achievement Award” by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry in November 2004.

Bauji, a leader of the masses, is remembered for his business excellence and profound social responsibility. A champion of the poor and downtrodden, he believed national prosperity was inextricably linked to the upliftment of society’s weakest members. He demonstrated this belief through tangible action, creating thousands of jobs in underdeveloped areas, building schools and hospitals, and earning widespread admiration for his philanthropy. His remarkable journey, from humble beginnings to successful industrialist, Member of Parliament, philanthropist, politician, and respected leader, serves as an inspiration for generations. His visionary approach, aptly described as seeing “doors where others saw walls,” fueled his commitment to a progressive society where men and women enjoyed true equality, a principle he believed was the key to advancement. This vision culminated in the establishment of the Vidya Devi Jindal School, nestled in a serene and tranquil environment.
